Intelligent Design, also known as Train with ID, is an elite personal training studio in London that seeks to revolutionise performance. The studio creates experiences around each individual, building considered performance systems that put the person back at the centre of personal training. While the business had evolved, the brand had not quite caught up. The business had been operating with a basic collection of visual assets. Enough to communicate, but not enough to express the depth of experience, thinking and culture behind the studio. They needed more than a new logo. They needed a brand.

We started with the foundations: defining the brand’s positioning, proposition and strategies. Using the big idea (Rewriting the DNA), we developed two creative territories. The Volt explored performance through energy, intensity and progression. The Balance explored performance through harmony, growth and equilibrium. Both territories offered a different interpretation of the Intelligent Design philosophy. The client gravitated towards The Volt, a direction that captured the ambition, energy and forward momentum they wanted the brand to embody.
Built around a bold, new logotype, we created a dynamic identity that could work across different touchpoints while still feeling distinctly Intelligent Design. Graphic language, layouts and art direction were developed as one cohesive system; creating a brand with both energy and structure. The outcome became a brand that feels performance-led without becoming predictable. The final identity was brought to life across the wider brand experience, including the website, social media, out-of-home applications, merchandise and everyday communications.
I was the brand designer for the project while on contract in Dessati Studio. A branding agency based in London, UK.
